About the Founder
Payal is a 3rd culture kid. She’s Indian by ethnicity, yet grew up across Middle East (Dubai, Iraq, Egypt), NY, NJ, FL, Australia and California all before the age of 10. This experience played a pivotal role in her relationship with the world and as she tried to find her identity- cultural differences, humanity, resilience, simultaneously experiencing adversity.
She questioned herself.
The narrative - I don’t belong, I’m not deserving and keep quiet because nobody wants to hear from you because you’re too different.
However, there was something else she learnt along the way...
We’re all human, we’re all experiencing the same fundamental emotions and each one of us wants to belong to a community. Each place values the same things: family, career, relationships, health - but how they value shifts from place to place.
It was only fitting that her career took her down a path of psychology; caring deeply about individuals who are brilliant, incredible humans but sidelined because their narratives were written by biases.
Beyond her career spanning the past 18 years as a former clinical therapist and an organizational psychologist, Payal spent her early years as a performer- a dancer and choreographer. She sees any experience she creates through the lens of a choreographer- how music and dance are so connected to emotional responses.
Payal beautifully blends her love for performance, understanding human behavior, and a drive for social impact into something truly special. When she's not designing powerful experiences, you can find her globetrotting, immersing deeper into culture by her love for food, or getting lost in historical narratives through docuseries.
Payal is inspired by stand-up comedy and loves adding humor to every interaction she has within her community. Her life's about elevating others, drawing from the rich tapestry of her experiences. It's her genuine connection to culture and community that makes Payal the go-to person for anyone looking to make a real difference — she's the ultimate hype-girl and advocate for change.
